Acts of Service
A person, couple or ministry team is responsible for set up on a specific Sunday which is scheduled several months in advance. If you are unable to set up on your scheduled Sunday, a replacement is found by contacting the group. Also, if last minute conflicts arise, contacting the group via e-mail always results in someone or several people stepping up to help out. As of now, the usual time between scheduled setups averages about 5-6 weeks depending on the events scheduled for fellowship time throughout the year.
The responsibilities of setting up for hospitality on a Sunday morning are simple, cut and dried, and fun! Start by making coffee – decaf and regular; set up hot water for tea and hot chocolate; place the donuts on trays; set out water and juice boxes; and finally, place the napkins, donation jars, sugar/creamers, etc. on the long tables for ease of use by our congregation and visitors. That’s it and your done for the day.
Clean up is provided by a monthly rotation of committees and sections of the alphabet for last names.
