What is Rotation Sunday School? It is a four week study of one Bible lesson for our children in grades K-5. The children are broken into groups, based on grade, and rotate to different stations each week.
According to Howard Gardner there are 8 different ways that we all learn. By acknowledging our children learn in different ways, our curriculum offers a variety of teaching methods to address these styles. By focusing on one Bible story for a four week period, the children are able to explore the lessons in more depth and greater detail.
We have a separate preschool class for our 3 and 4 year olds. It is located next to the middle school room next to the Dr. Pepper machine. We sing songs, learn Bible stories, play games, and get to know one another in a safe atmosphere. All personalities are welcome, from shy to really outgoing!
The "Toy Zone" (Nursery) is also staffed for infants to 2 year olds during the Sunday School hour so that parents and older siblings can attend Sunday School classes.
Team 4:12 - Middle School Youth - Sunday Morning
Our Middle Schoolers (grades 6, 7, 8) join together for fellowship and learning every Sunday morning. We call our group "Team 4:12", and take this from 1 Timothy 4:12 "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity."
Sunday mornings will find Team 4:12 not only learning and applying Biblical truth, but doing some fun activities as well.
S.W.A.T. - Senior High Youth - Sunday Morning
S.W.A.T. - Students Worshipping All Together, is our senior high youth group that also meets on Sunday mornings during the education hour. We discuss current topics from a Biblical perspective, enabling them to engage their peers, endure trials, and live out their faith.
Life Change Bible Class
Our class meets in the library, just off of Fellowship Hall next to the kitchen. We are led by Maurie Johnson and meet each week, including the summers. We are currently studying the series "From Genesis to Revelation" All adults are invited to join us in this complete study of God's Word.
Seekers Sunday School Class
Our class meets in the corner of Fellowship Hall at the end of Fellowship Time. We are led by Denny Piper and meet each week, including the summers. We are currently studying the early Church in the Book of Acts. All adults are invited to join us in our study.
