United Methodist WomenUnited Methodist Women

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

UMW Unit Meetings

All UMW members gather together for monthly Unit meetings. These meetings are hosted and led by members of the Unit. Each month has a theme that is picked to be useful for the group.

UMW Sarah Circle

The Sarah Circle facilitates small group activities. Small groups are often the best way to connect to other women who are like you! We meet once per month, and you are invited to visit and join the circle at any time!

Equal Exchange

Coffee is big business— It is the second most heavily traded commodity in the world. But for the majority of coffee farmers, the benefits can be small. Our mission is to promote Equal Exchange: Equal Exchange is the leading Fair Trade brand of food and beverages in the United States.  Coffee, Tea and Chocolate products will be available at the church. Check out the products on display in the fellowship hall and pick up an order form.

Husker Heat

As needed, we make fleece blankets to send to the troops in Iraq so they can stay warm and dry during the cold winter nights. We invite everyone to make blankets and we will send yours with ours. The blankets should be double fleece (can be print on one side and plain on the other or two different plain colors) made into twin size - 60 x 80. Buy 2 1/4 yds of 60 inch wide fleece for each color. You can make your blankets with fringe around all four sides or fringe and knot the three sides and have the "face" side plain. Jan Verbeek can give you more instructions for doing it with the one unfringed side so the face isn't tickled by the fringe.  If you can't make blankets, you could donate for the boxes and postage to send them.
