Friends,
As you know we have suspended in-person worship over the past few weeks with the hope of getting back together sometime in November. Unfortunately, due to significant increases in new case rates in our surrounding community as well as increasing cases and severity of cases within our own congregation, WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO IN-PERSON WORSHIP BEFORE THANKSGIVING. I want to assure you that, while we can't make any promises, we are doing more than hoping to be able to return to in-person worship for Advent and Christmas Eve. We are exploring new ways of managing numbers, disinfecting, and other factors that will increase our chances of safely gathering. Again, we do not know what the situation will look like by Thanksgiving so we can't guarantee anything beyond that we are trying. In the meantime, please continue to join us on facebook or our website (gretnaumc.com/worship) every Sunday at 9:30am and Wednesday at noon. Also, please continue to reach out to each other, to pray for one another, and to inform us here at the office if there is anything we can do to support you or your neighbors during these trying times. We will get through this y'all, with God and with each other. Your brother on the journey, Pastor Brian |
